SofTec® Coxa
Orthosis for the stabilization and guidance of the hip joint|
|
|
DESCRIPTION
SofTec Coxa stabilizes the hip joint, for example after total hip replacement or femoral-head resection. It helps prevent dislocation of the hip joint by restricting range of motion with a monocentric hinge.
The hinge is positioned at the height of the anatomical pivot point of the hip joint, and can be adjusted in two planes. It allows for infinite limitation settings of hip abduction/ adduction as well as flexion and extension up to 90°. This flexibility helps protect against dislocations and drives positive surgical outcomes.
The combination of knitted soft fabric and a flexible pelvic shell creates uniform contact pressure to ensure optimal immobilization of the joint
The orthosis is anatomically shaped and can be easily customized. The pelvic frame, knit parts and tensioning straps can be individually adjusted for optimal fit and function.
The knit fabric around the hip and the thigh support are made of breathable material, and are comfortable on the skin for all day wearing comfort.
SofTec Coxa is available in our online shop with the following parts:
- Brace consisting of pelvic and thigh support in size 1-3
- Hinge as offset (women) or straight (men) version
- Thigh support (for bilateral care)
For bilateral care, please order an additional hinge and thigh support. Please call our dedicated customer service team at 1-800-423-3405 if you need help placing your order.
