CoxaTrain® Hip Brace
Orthosis for active stabilization and pain relief of the hip|
|
|
DESCRIPTION
CoxaTrain combines multiple therapy principles - such as stabilization, targeted massage, and proprioceptive stimulation to relieve pain and stabilize the lumbar spine, pelvis and hip.
The orthosis can be easily adjusted without tools for customized treatment. It consists of an elastic pelvic and thigh support that can be combined together in various sizes and attached via a laterally positioned joint splint.
The hinge controls the range of motion. It allows limitation of flexion and extension (60°, 70°, 90°).
CoxaTrain targets the functional interplay of the core and hip muscles with circular compression. It stabilizes the pelvic girdle and relieves pressure on the sacroiliac joints (SI joints). During movement, two dorsal pads massage the ligaments of the sacroiliac joint and adjacent muscles. This relieves pain in the lumbosacral junction and helps to prevent incorrect posture adopted as a result of pain. Two additional viscoelastic pads positioned laterally on the thigh (trochanter pad) and upper buttock (gluteal pad) massage the soft tissue and relax the hip muscles during movement.
A low-profile and light weight design, with textured mesh knit and patented hinge, together with idividually adjustable pads allows for unparalleled relief, joint stabilization and all day wearing comfort.
FEATURES
- Alleviates hip pain
- Guides and stabilizes the hip joint and improves gait
- Relaxes muscles in the lumbar spine, pelvic and hip region
- Flexion and extension can be limited to 60°, 75°, 90° if required
- Pelvic support with massage pads stabilizes the pelvis and relieves the SI joints
- The flexible trochanter pad exerts a relieving massage on the tendon insertions of the hip muscles above the greater trochanter
- The gluteal pad and dorsal SI joint friction pads massage the local ligaments and muscles and counteract imbalances around the pelvis and hips
